Perhaps not the powerhouse they once were, the G3 700MHz iBook is still a handy laptop to have on hand, especially if you grace it with Tiger and at least 512MB of RAM. It will still do most things, like video editing, word processing, Internet surfing, graphics work and even play DVDs, if yours has a combo drive, like this one does. It has plenty of ports for attaching external drives and most contemporary USB printers, and is small enough to take anywhere. It weighs just over two kilos, and, for the price, does a pretty good job. For kids, the unit is fantastic, because, if they break it, your bank won't suffer the same fate.
